Safe one-on-one sessions to explore who you are and how you can create new possibilities
Each person has a remarkable story to tell.
I maintain this outlook throughout each therapy session and with each individual client. I would never tell you how you should live your life. That is your choice to make. However, I do offer a space of safety, encouragement, and support where you will learn about yourself in different ways.
In obtaining this new knowledge, you may then develop a new perspective that can help shape the reality you desire. You are and always will be the expert in your own life. Your life has meaning, your life has value, and your life certainly has a purpose. I am here to help support you on that journey.
In other words, I am simply here to help you turn the page and continue to write your story the way you believe it should be written.
I am Dr. Katie Lundin, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years of experience. I hold licenses to practice in the States of New York and Florida and have degrees from New York University, Hofstra University, and Nova Southeastern University. My Ph.D. in Family Therapy and certificates in Medical Family Therapy and Hypnotherapy showcase my expertise in the field. Having traveled the world, I have gained a better understanding of how cultural factors impact individual and communal functioning and perception. My treatment specialties include couples, families, and individuals struggling with communication, life changes, depression, anxiety, and PTSD. I am a respected clinician in my community and often present at national and local conferences as a keynote speaker to introduce new ideas and skills to my colleagues. In therapy, I provide nonjudgmental, empathetic, and insightful advice to help my clients create change and succeed in their future.
Hi, I'm Ilona Korsunsky, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in the State of Florida. My journey in this field began with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminology and Sociology from Rutgers University of New Jersey. I worked for several years in Child Welfare and Protection, supporting vulnerable children and families in South Florida who have faced traumatic events that reinforced generational trauma. I am extensively trained in the Trauma-Informed approach, which has allowed me to compassionately work with families to promote empowerment, resilience, and break the cycle of generational trauma.
To further impact the lives of those I serve, I pursued a Master's Degree in Social Work from Florida International University. My passion to help others and my knowledge of trauma have enabled me to work in various settings with diverse populations. I initially focused on working with children and families, providing clinical assessment and therapeutic services during investigations and removals, trauma-focused interventions, and supporting parents during transitions.
Later, I expanded my clinical work to include LGBTQ youth, adult clients with chronic and persistent mental illness, and veterans experiencing psychosocial stressors. I take a non-judgmental, open-minded, empathetic stance with all my clients, building trust and alliances through cultural competence, self-awareness, and patience.
